About OSU

The Oklahoma State University Dietetic Internship Program was originally established in 1937. This program is currently granted continuing accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association, 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2000, Chicago, IL, 60606-6995, 312-899-0040 ext 5400 until 2011. The DI Program has a generalist emphasis and can accept up to 24 interns each year.

The Mission of the OSU Dietetic Internship program is to prepare professionally competent individuals to manage increasingly complex dietetics programs.

DI Program Goals

  • Prepare individuals to become professionally competent registered dietitians through a sound and comprehensive academic and experiential program.
  • Provide a balanced and integrated program through a cooperative learning environment which includes university faculty, health care professionals/preceptors, mentors in the field and peers from diverse academic programs and careers, and post baccalaureate students.
  • Actively recruit multicultural students and provide multicultural experiences for all dietetic interns.
  • Develop effective and self-reliant professionals, visionary leaders and individuals committed to lifelong learning and community services.
