Ranchers Club Chef de Cuisine Marc Dunham
Oklahoma State University’s Ranchers Club Chef de Cuisine Marc Dunham will compete in the annual Taste of Elegance Oklahoma sponsored by the Oklahoma Pork Council and Express Employment Professional. This delicious annual event will be held on Thursday, November 12th at Express Event Center in Oklahoma City.
Dunham will prepare "Pork N Beans" using tasty Berkshire pork served with slowly simmered cannellini beans, aged balsamic vinegar and hearts of celery. Dunham says this is not exactly standard fare pork and beans.
Top rated Oklahoma chefs will compete for the top prize in a professional, blind judging during the afternoon of the event. The winner will represent our state in the National Taste of Elegance competition. Ticket holders will be able to taste each chef’s original pork creation and vote for their favorite dish. Wine tasting provided by Oklahoma wineries will begin at 6 and dinner follows at 7 pm.
Taste of Elegance is one of the major cooking events for professional chefs in the industry. The culinary competition is designed to inspire innovative and exciting ways to add pork to the menu. The beneficiary of this year’s event is Hearts for Hearing, an award winning organization that provides hearing technology and financial support to Oklahoma children and adults with hearing loss.
As a laboratory of the School of Hotel and Restaurant Administration, The Ranchers Club is located in the Atherton Hotel at OSU and is part of the College of Human Environmental Sciences.
