Human Development and Family Science students understand the developmental stages of humans from birth to aging adults. HDFS students are caring, hard working and service oriented. The Center for Early Childhood Teaching and Learning provide hands-on classroom experiences and research opportunities for Early Childhood Education graduates who are highly sought after by principals. Child and Family Services graduates are well prepared to provide support and service to the communities where they are employed.

Helping Caregivers with the Housing Needs of Their Aging Loved Ones |
 Stillwater National Bank (SNB) will host a free presentation designed to help meet the needs of Caregivers who are making housing decisions for their loved ones. The presentation entitled “There’s No Place Like Home: Helping Caregivers with the Housing Needs of Their Aging Loved Ones” will occur at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at the First United Methodist Church, located at 7th & Duck in Stillwater. Lunch is provided. Doors open at 10:50 am. Lunch is served from 11:00 to 11:30 am and the presentation begins at 11:30 am. The presentation will be presented by Ms. Linda Jaco & Dr. Whitney Brosi.

Yolanda Odenyo, Excellence in and out of the classroom |
 While Oklahoma State University women’s soccer midfielder Yolanda Odenyo’s list of athletic achievements is long, it is rivaled only by her résumé of academic success and her dedication to helping others.
Odenyo will graduate in May from the College of Human Environmental Sciences with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science. In June, she will begin pursuing her master’s degree in International Studies at OSU.
